there are 65535 ports number are associated with computer networks.
now i will differentiate it.
1>port number-0 to 1023-well known ports
2>port number-1023 to 49151-registered ports
3>port number-49152 to 65535-private or dynamic ports.
now i will give example to make it more clarify.
file transfer protocol-21;;;pop 3-110 and they both belong to tcp and they well know port for tcp
trivial file transfer protocol -69;;;example of well known ports for udp.
i more thing i would like to conclude with one public i.p address we can open 65535 applicatoins.
